In honor of Earth Day, this week’s blog is focused on the sustainability program at the BCEC and the Hynes and the ways we conserve energy, water, and waste as part of our daily operating strategy. Our goal is to minimize the environmental impact of our facilities and provide programs that help support our customers in their efforts to host green meetings.

On April 3, Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) would be transformed into Boston Hope, a 1,000-bed field hospital for COVID-19 patients to serve as overflow for city hospitals during the coronavirus crisis.

Through the entire month of April, an array of Boston buildings, landmarks, arenas, and hotels will be joining the #LoveFromBoston campaign by using red lights and illuminated heart symbols on their exteriors to send a message of love and support from Boston to the entire world.
