They know the city as well as they know our facilities, and have a strong relationship with city, state, and federal authorities ensuring fast and appropriate responses to any incidents at the BCEC or the Hynes.

Public Safety

Our Public Safety Officers provide a friendly sense of security, keeping you safe and comfortable throughout your event. While we hope that you never need it, all of our Public Safety Officers are CPR certified and highly trained to handle any emergency.

MCCA Prohibited Items Policy

Weapons of any type, functional or non-functional, such as firearms, swords, knives, throwing stars, crossbows, clubs, bludgeons, etc. are strictly prohibited within MCCA facilities. The MCCA strictly prohibits all persons from carrying a firearm or other prohibited item while on MCCA property or within a facility under MCCA control, including those persons licensed to carry a firearm. Other prohibited items may include, but are not limited to, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia, outside alcohol, Tasers or stun guns, and any other item that is deemed to be dangerous or a disruption to MCCA business and events.

This policy applies to all MCCA employees, contractors, temporary employees, clients, exhibitors, visitors, and guests. Only on-duty law enforcement agents who are working on behalf of the MCCA, or those who have been given expressed authorization by the MCCA Director of Public Safety will be permitted to carry a firearm or other prohibited item while on MCCA property.

ADA Information

Both the BCEC and the Hynes are ADA friendly and equipped with accessibility in mind.

The BCEC and the Hynes are entirely accessible and designed according to ADA requirements and beyond. A limited number of wheelchairs are available free-of-charge through the First Aid Station. Golf carts are also available at most events for rides to locations inside the building.

Lost & Found

Did you lose an item at the BCEC or the Hynes? Use the online web form below to file a report and get a case ID for any lost item.

If your lost item is a match with an item turned in we will contact you. To increase the chances of finding your lost item please attach a photo to the form of your item.

Location

The MCCA Public Safety property claim area is located in our Command Center at the BCEC and the Hynes.

Hours

The Command Center is open for property claim during normal business hours which are Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm and during all event times. You may arrange a pickup for your claimed item by calling the Command Center at 617-954-2222 (BCEC) or 617-954-2111 (Hynes).

Lost Item Claim Form

Click the box below to fill out the form. Fill in all appropriate fields and identify the specific event your item was lost at. Anyone claiming property must show a picture ID or driver’s license, and your case ID number located on your receipt.

Found items that go unclaimed with no obvious monetary or sentimental value will be held for 14 days. Property of an estimated value up to $250.00 with no obvious sentimental value will be held for 60 days. Properties of an estimated value of over $250.00, or with obvious sentimental value, will be kept for 1 year. If item(s) are not retrieved within these time frames, the item(s) will be purged from our property storage.
