    We’re excited to release our first white paper: Safety and Security Lessons from the 2013 Boston Marathon and the 2015 Pokémon World Championship. The white paper explores in detail the lessons learned from two major events that took place in Boston: the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing and the 2015 Pokémon World Championship, where the Boston Police and the MCCA Public Safety Team successfully prevented a mass shooting at the Hynes Convention Center.

  2. Boston Convention Employees Get Trained in Bleeding Control

    As part of an ongoing commitment to safety and security, this month, the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) launched a series of Stop the Bleed training classes for its entire staff and contract partners, and is making equipment available at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) and the Hynes Convention Center.

  3. BCEC Gets a New Smart Kiosk to Foster Community Engagement, Mobility & Wayfinding

    The MCCA has partnered with Boston-based CIVIQ Smartscapes to deploy a smart kiosk with touch screen outside the Summer Street entrance to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). More than 225,000 attendees, pedestrians and vehicles travel in front of the BCEC on Summer Street each day.
